Each month as females, our bodies prepare itself for pregnancy possible pregnancy. The fun part is that, when you do not see our periods at that time of the month knowing that we had some risky in*******se we become worriedšš and if we do see it we are still worried about being pregnant again about the pain it comes with.
Every single day, millions of females menstruate, yet millions are still denied access to safe sanitary products, clean facilities and access to education. Until now, menstruation affects a female in every aspect of her life.
EDUCATION: it causes a female to sometimes miss school during her period due to pains or unpreparedness of necessary supplies like sanitary pads
DIGNITY: females suffer from the discomfort of everyday activities because of period pains and fear.
ECONOMICS: menstruation pains can cause a female to miss work or business because of the abnormal feelings and pains.
PARTICIPATION: most often, females are distracted or less active during school, work or other activities due to fear of leakage when on their periods.
I believe that, sanitary pads should be distributed monthly to females most especially in the rural areas who canāt afford and are still using cloth to protect themselves when on their periods. If distribution of pads cannot be possible, the cost of pads should be reduced so as to enable less privilege females to purchase in order to protect themselves during menstruation.
There is power in PERIOD, It is the rhythm of RESILIENCE, a TESTAMENT to life and a STRENGTH deeply rooted in nature. We go through all of these as females because we are strong. The fact that we can conquer even when expose to denials, it means that we can withstand all its monthly trials. For we are strong and deserve to be a MOTHER, a WOMAN, and most of all US!!!!
Menstruation is Natural, itās Normal and thereās Nothing to hideā¦..
