Yom Kippur has ended, but the reflection doesn’t have to.

There’s something incredibly grounding about stepping away from the noise, the deadlines, the constant movement, and remembering what actually matters.

These photos are from the Ohel in Queens, the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe—a place that always carries a certain weight, peace, and perspective.

After a day spent reflecting, asking forgiveness, thinking about the year behind us and the one ahead, I’m leaving this Yom Kippur with a simple reminder: move with more intention. Be more present. Do the work that matters. And never take the people around you for granted.

Wishing everyone a meaningful year ahead, filled with purpose, growth, health, and peace.

Sometimes you give the professional recommendation.
You explain the strategy.
You explain why something may not work.

And then… you water the plants in the rain. 😂🌧️🪴

Because sometimes the client wants what the client wants — and you do it their way.

Just don’t be surprised when it doesn’t work. 😏

Today feels heavy in a way that is hard to put into words.

It has been 25 years since September 11, 2001. A day of unimaginable loss, heartbreak, fear, and grief. A day we will never forget.

And at the same time, we welcome Rosh Hashanah — a new year filled with hope, sweetness, celebration, family, and the possibility of what comes next.

It can feel strange to move between grief and joy. But in many ways, that is what we as Jews have always done. We carry the pain with us, we remember, and we still choose to celebrate. We choose tradition. We choose family. We choose community. We choose life.

Maybe that ability to hold both — the heartbreak and the hope — is part of what keeps us strong.

May the memories of those we lost on September 11 always be a blessing, and may this new year bring more peace, kindness, sweetness, and light.

“Immediately no.” 😂

Funny shirt. Not-so-funny marketing strategy.

I was on a Zoom recently when someone joked that their marketing team’s response to requests is usually some version of… “no.”

And it stuck with me.

Your marketing department should never feel like the department you’re afraid to approach.

Will every idea work? Of course not. Sometimes there needs to be a conversation. Sometimes the strategy says pivot. Sometimes timing, budget, brand alignment, or a dozen other factors mean we need to rethink the approach.

But the conversation should always be welcomed

Marketing works best when departments collaborate, ideas are shared, questions are asked, and people feel comfortable bringing something new to the table.

Interdepartmental collaboration isn’t a bonus. It’s KEY to building stronger marketing.

So if your team has learned to stop bringing ideas to marketing because the answer is always “no”…

Maybe it’s time to change the conversation.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the proud owner, creative mind, and baker behind the gluten free treat shop — and her husband too!

We spent some time talking about celiac, the realities of going gluten free, and something I’ve been saying for almost a year now: gluten free can be tough, but it is absolutely possible. It takes a little more planning, a little more creativity, and sometimes a lot more cooking.

In our house, we loveeeee to cook, and our motto has become: “If you can’t find it gluten free, make it gluten free.” I still stand by that.

But I also LOVE finding a small local business doing something special — especially when I can support a fellow business owner who truly understands the need behind what she creates.

And my favorite from today — although it’s not pictured — was the vanilla chocolate chip cookie sandwich. SO good. 🤍

I had the pleasure of seeing Etty from Judaica of Great Neck again recently, and I loved every moment — especially because my daughter was with me.

One of the gifts of owning a company is that my children get to see so much of what goes into building a business beyond the actual work. They see how I communicate, how I build and maintain relationships, and how important it is to value incredible people.

They also sometimes get to be present for deeper conversations — conversations about meaningful, complicated, or even heavy topics. I think there is so much value in allowing our children to hear those conversations when appropriate. It teaches them how to listen to someone else’s perspective, share their own opinions, ask thoughtful questions, and begin to understand the world with a little more maturity.

And while Etty and I had some of those conversations, my daughter also got to spend time with one of Etty’s daughters — which made the visit feel even more special.

There is something really meaningful about our children getting to witness the relationships we build, while also beginning to build connections of their own.

Etty, thank you for always making yourself available to us and for your warmth, thoughtfulness, and time. I’m so grateful for our relationship, and I can’t wait to see you again soon when I pick up my order! 🤍

Five years ago, I was holding my baby girl and imagining the life I wanted for her.

I wished for health, love, happiness, confidence, opportunity, and the ability to dream bigger than I ever had.

And somewhere in that daydream, I imagined a company.

A company built on integrity, hard work, compassion, creativity, trust, and the belief that growth should never come at the expense of how people are treated. I wanted something scalable, but still personal. Something where every client felt seen, understood, and cared for.

I imagined TKZ Consulting.

And now, five years later, that idea has become something real.

I am proud of what we have built, but even more aware of what it took to get here. The long days. The risks. The sacrifices. The people who believed in me. The clients who trusted me with their brands, their teams, their reputations, and their stories.

My family has carried this dream with me. My husband has given me the support and stability to keep reaching higher. My children have grown up around cameras, campaigns, ideas, and conversations about business.

And my daughter, without even knowing it, was there at the very beginning.

Five years ago, TKZ Consulting was an idea I imagined while holding her.

Today, it is something I hope to keep building into a legacy.

Something strong enough that one day, if she wants it, she can take it further than I ever could.

Happy 5th birthday, TKZ Consulting.

A little Poconos scenery mixed into the workday. 🤍

Fishing, ice cream, deer sightings, beautiful drives, family time… and yes, plenty of emails, calls, approvals, and client work in between.

One of the things I’m most grateful for about building TKZ Consulting is the ability to keep showing up for my clients while also making room for moments like these with my family.

The work doesn’t stop, but sometimes the view gets a whole lot better. 🌲

And just like that… another summer camp season is coming to a close! ☀️

The majority of our clients wrapped up camp today, and from a marketing perspective, that means one thing: take a second to celebrate… and then start looking ahead.

You made it through weeks of camp photos, videos, daily updates, schedule changes, last-minute pivots, parent communication and nonstop content. Now is the time to look back at what worked, what didn’t, what content performed best, what you wish you had captured, and what you want to do differently next summer.

And while camp may be ending, fall marketing is already here — back to school, programs, holidays, events and everything that comes with a new season.

To the programs with one more week to go: hold on. You’re almost there! 😂
