She has presented at design events both nationally and internationally. She was accepted into various art and design residency programs, and her works have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, including a recent solo show at Vanderbilt University and participation in the group show “Womxnhouse Detroit.” ...............

Meet the ANGAN Symposium Plenary Speaker 4 ////
Dr. Dori Tunstall is an award-winning design anthropologist and educator with over 25 years of experience leading institutional transformation across Australia, Canada, and the United States. Dori began her career as a high-tech user experience consultant at Sapient and Arc Worldwide before moving into academia at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she deepened the practice of transdisciplinary design research. Later, as Dean of the Faculty of Design at OCAD University, Dori became the first Black—and Black female—dean of a faculty of design anywhere in the world. She led the globally recognized transformation of OCAD U's hiring practices and curriculum to become more diverse, decolonial, inclusive, and accessible. In 2023, she returned to the United States to found Dori Tunstall, Inc., working with communities and industries that want to practice liberatory joy through research-informed care.

Meet the ANGAN Symposium Plenary Speaker 3 ////
Dr. Suresh Sethi is a Professor of Industrial Design at the School of Art & Design, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His career spans continents and cultures—encompassing America, China, the Netherlands, Italy, India, and Singapore—bringing together a wealth of design perspectives. Formerly the Program Chair and James Avery Endowed Chair in Industrial Design at UIUC, Sethi holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Design from IIT Bombay, a Master’s in Lighting Design from Domus Academy in Milan, and an Integrated Master’s in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. His leadership extends beyond academia. As Vice President of Design at Whirlpool Corporation Asia, he shaped products for millions of homes, and as Founding Professor of the School of Art, Design, and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, he helped build a new creative institution from the ground up. Sethi’s design philosophy is rooted in building deep relationships—between product and user, product and profit, and product and production. He moves beyond the physical limits of materials to embrace the emotional and cultural dimensions of design. His research has explored life under artificial light as a multisensory interaction of culture, emotion, and sensation, and today he investigates how AI and storytelling can transform the way product forms are imagined and visualized.
