Having worked in PR for over a decade, I’ve seen first hand how PR can increase brand awareness and ultimately win clients new business. ighlight to date is securing coverage for a client on the front page of the FT Weekend. Using my background in journalism, a big part of my focus for new clients is to uncover the stories behind their business and their ongoing success. From here I will create a bespoke communications strategy to secure coverage in target press. As well as traditional PR communications and copywriting, I also offer PR workshops and social media support. This is ideal for businesses who want to take more control of their own public relations and social media, but don’t know where to start. We've had a bumper few weeks of coverage for one client recently.

First they spoke about the new hybrid working practices they're exploring for a Raconteur supplement in The Times, then they were interviewed in Dutch national newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad about Google's latest cookie announcement, not to mention getting their comment about data in health advertising featured in The Drum.

The UK has thousands of visitor attractions including one of my favourites which is pictured. Do guess in the comments if you know where it is! 🏰

With tourism currently hit hard many attractions will be wondering how to maximise their chances of being featured in the press. Photos and content are key but there are some things to bear in mind.

👉 Prioritise pictures. Make them hi-res, 300dpi and have landscape and portrait versions of the same image. It might mean the difference between your picture being used based on the space in a newspaper or magazine.

👉 Have seasonal photos. A snowy landscape is great for Winter or Christmas travel ideas, not so much for a summer guide.

👉 Reflect your visitors in pics. Be representative. If you're a family destination show some families! Don't ignore lone travellers.

👉 Journalists love stats, the weirder and wonderful the better
