Are you struggling with writing copy?
We've all been there, it can be quite challenging from time to time.

Here are 10 of our top tips for copywriting and to jumpstart your creativity!

1) Save all ads and copies that catch our attention while scrolling on your phone.
Study those ads/ copies. What about them made you stop, what kind of hooks did they use to grab your attention? Try to recreate those in your next campaign!

2) Do a 10 minute free write. Don't think, just write. Once you start writing and get into the flow, new ideas will pop up automatically! The freewrite relaxes your mind and takes pressure off you expecting to have to come up with something.
The more relaxed your mind, the more creative it will be.

3) Don't delete anything! When writing copy try to keep all your written stuff on one document without deleting anything. Some ideas might not sound right now, which does not mean they won't be a great fit for future copies and projects. That way you can always jump back and inspire yourself with your old ideas

4) Structure your copy based on features (what it is)/ Benefits (what it does)/ Meaning (what it means to your customer when using/ buying/ applying etc.). The meaning is one of the most important components of a copy as it gives it depth and something to connect/ relate to

5) Accept the fact that it will take time! Block out enough time for your copywriting session and don't pressure yourself. Be aware that it is a creative process and creativity can't be forced, it can only be slowly generated and fueled. Even if you going through a bit of a dry spell, take a break, distract yourself and get back to it

6) Don't be attached to your copy.
Most copied need to be split tested to see which ones generate the best results for your brand. Be open for change, even if that means that you have to re-write the entire copy. It is a part of the process and only makes you better at your craft.

7) Write down variations of different sentences. You may think you might've found the best possible sentence but try to think a bit deeper. How could you make it sound even more catchy and attention grabbing?

8 ) Know your target audience and put yourself into their shoes. What's important to your customers? What are their pain points, their needs and wants? Put yourself into your customers shoes! If you were your customer, how would you like to be talked to?

9) Write a long and medium version of your copy. It forces you to think more, how can you make it longer? How can you get to the point quicker? Having multiple lengths of one copy is also very handy when it comes to split testing

10) Just keep writing! It's going to take a while to get good at it, it is going to suck from time to time, but remember- the more work you put in now, the better you'll get, the easier it will be for you to create copies in the future
