My favorite part of the branding process

Every phase of the branding process has value, but my favorite part happens before anything visual takes shape. It is the moment when things begin to click.

This is the stage where conversations turn into insights. Where patterns emerge and priorities become clear. Where clients start articulating what they have felt but not yet been able to name.

This clarity becomes the anchor for everything that follows. Design choices feel more grounded. Decisions feel easier. The work gains direction and purpose.

Seeing that shift, from uncertainty to understanding, is what makes the process meaningful for me. It is where branding stops being about design alone and starts becoming a tool for confidence and growth.

That moment is different for every client, and it is why no two projects ever feel the same.

One of the biggest shifts I see clients experience with branding isn’t visual. It’s internal.

✨ Reimagining a family business online ✨

When we met Halliday Construction, their website hadn’t been updated in years. Their work and expertise spoke for themselves, but their digital presence didn’t reflect it.

We modernized their logo, created a clean, simple, and elegant website, and helped showcase the incredible work of this family-run business.

Post-launch, we updated social media, ensured their online presence was consistent, and began building a marketing plan to connect them with the clients they serve best.

It’s been a pleasure working with Keven, Brandon and Jared — and we can’t wait to see their online presence grow alongside their business! 💻🏡

Thank you for an amazing year! 🥰

When Peter Kaufman reached out about building a website for his personal training business, the goal was clear from the start: create a site that truly reflected the way he trains and the people he serves.
Peter isn’t interested in trends or quick fixes. His work is grounded in fundamentals, long-term progress, and helping clients stay strong and active for real life. Our job was to translate that philosophy into a website that felt personal, credible, and easy to navigate.

Starting with clarity
We began with a kickoff meeting to define the foundation of the site and establish a steady weekly cadence so decisions could build naturally over time.
Peter shared the core of his business:
    •    A strong focus on one-on-one training, making up the majority of his work
    •    Deep credentials including CSCS certification, a Master’s degree, and USA Weightlifting experience
    •    Customized training packages to fit the client
We also spent time defining his ideal client. Think active professionals in their 40s juggling work, family, and minor injuries, people who want to keep skiing, golfing, and moving well for years to come. This clarity informed every design and content decision that followed.

Shaping the structure around the experience
In our working sessions, we focused on building a site structure that mirrored Peter’s real-world offerings, not a generic fitness template.
Together, we refined the sitemap and navigation to highlight:
    •    One-on-one personal training
    •    Small group training capped at five people for quality coaching
    •    Buddy training options for clients who want to train together
    •    Seasonal student athlete strength training
    •    Specialized programs for ski and golf performance
We outlined specific session times, seasonal availability, and clear pathways for new clients to book free consultations. The goal was transparency and ease, helping visitors quickly understand what Peter offers and how to get started…

I recently wrapped up a website project for Kaufman Personal Training, and I shared a behind-the-scenes look at the process on the blog.

Peter’s work is all about strength, longevity, and helping people stay active for real life. From one-on-one training to small group and seasonal programs, the goal of the site was to reflect how he actually trains and who he serves, not a one-size-fits-all fitness template.

Elevating Quiet Luxury with Bon Matin. 🌺
When Maureen opened her boutique in Chatham, she dreamed of a space that felt both Parisian and coastal — refined yet welcoming. From logo and signage to print materials and a custom website, I had the joy of helping her bring that vision to life.

Our collaboration has grown over the years, from designing business cards and hang tags to even repairing her sign after a winter storm. Today, I continue to support Bon Matin’s brand so Maureen can focus on curating her collection for her customers.

A brand is more than a logo — it’s a story, a presence, and a lasting partnership.
