The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned that land titles in Abuja may be revoked where property owners are found to be using their properties in violation of approved purposes and development regulations.

Wike stressed that the FCT Administration will not tolerate the misuse of allocated lands, emphasizing the need for strict compliance with planning approvals, land-use regulations, and urban development standards.

According to the Minister, enforcing compliance is necessary to preserve the Abuja Master Plan and ensure orderly development across the nation’s capital.

DISCLOSE OUTCOME OF CORRUPTION CASE AGAINST EX-MINISTER EDU — TABUKO TO PRESIDENCY, EFCC 🇳🇬

A legal practitioner and public affairs commentator, Tabuko Kennedy, has called on the Presidency and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to provide the public with an update on the corruption allegations involving former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu.

According to Tabuko, transparency and accountability require that Nigerians be informed of the status and outcome of investigations into high-profile corruption cases, particularly those involving public officials.

He argued that public confidence in anti-corruption efforts is strengthened when investigations are concluded transparently and their outcomes communicated clearly to citizens.

The call comes amid continued public interest in the case and broader conversations about accountability in public office.

SOKOTO MOVES AGAINST BANDITS’ INFORMANTS 🇳🇬

Governor Ahmed Aliyu has proposed a new law targeting individuals accused of supplying information to bandits in Sokoto State.

According to the Governor, informants play a major role in aiding criminal operations and worsening insecurity across affected communities.

The proposed legislation is part of broader efforts to strengthen security and combat banditry in the region.

“Informants are more dangerous than the bandits themselves,” the Governor reportedly stated.

Do you think stricter laws against informants can help reduce insecurity in Nigeria?
