When registering on WanTALK, you will be sent an sms with a code to register your number. The next step will ask you if you want to subscribe on interesting channels. This is where (for now) you choose "CANCEL". Otherwise you will subscribe to unwanted advertisement messages.
Those advertisements are annoying and we apologise. Our next updates will get rid of those advertisements. But for now do the above.
Our next post will be for those who have made the mistake of allowing channel subscriptions and want to unsubscribe and filter these ads.

Wantalk Messenger sitting alongside some of the big boys in the game 😊 Update your app now and get the more stylish new icon and also welcome new countries into our Wantalk system.
In the updated version we have made the app available in Google Playstore to WanTALKs in China, Laos, Argentina, Bangladesh, and Philippines. Happy Chinese New Year to our WanTALKs in China 🎉🎊🍾🇨🇳

Hi Wantalks, those having problems with automatic channel subscriptions, disable those channel subscriptions in "Settings" then click on "Privacy and Security" then make sure "Allow Channels Subscriptions" is DISABLED . (See pic below). Any channels that have already been subscribed to must be unsubscribed by "Leaving" the channel and not just by deleting the channel.
