Your fall w**e date plans are covered. 🍷🍂

Sunset Sip is back for its second year on October 3, bringing an afternoon of Okanagan w**e, food and live music to the waterfront in downtown Kelowna.

Your ticket includes unlimited tastings from participating Okanagan w**eries, so you can sip your way through local w**es without worrying about tokens. There will also be bites from participating restaurants and a live DJ playing throughout the afternoon. 🍷🎶

And with Rhapsody Plaza right by the lake, you’ll get waterfront views and fall scenery while you sip.

Seven haunted houses and 15+ rides are taking over Playland after dark. 👻🎢

Fright Nights is back at on select nights from October 7 to 31, bringing Western Canada’s largest Halloween event back for another spooky season.

Make your way through seven haunted houses, including The Void, Materia Medica and Bloodshed, then take on more than 15 amusement rides throughout the park. 🎃👀

The scares start at 6 PM, with the park staying open until 11 PM or midnight depending on the night.

Hundreds of witches are trading broomsticks for paddleboards this Halloween season. 🧙‍♀️🌊

The 6th annual Witchilano Paddle is happening October 3, bringing a seriously unusual sight to Kitsilano Beach as witches and warlocks take to the water in costume.

Participants will meet on the beach at 10 AM for photos before launching around 11:30 AM and paddling from Kitsilano Beach through False Creek toward Granville Island. 👀

It’s completely free to participate or watch, with donations of cash or non-perishable food encouraged in support of SHARE Family & Community Services.

Vancouver’s Oktoberfest is celebrating 10 years with two nights of b**r, bratwurst and Bavarian festivities. 🍺🥨

Harvest Haus is taking over the PNE Forum on October 2 and 3, transforming the space into a massive Bavarian bier hall filled with long communal tables, live music and plenty of reasons to break out the lederhosen.

There will be 25+ European and local craft b**rs, ciders, w**es and spirits to try, alongside bratwurst, schnitzel and giant pretzels. 🍻

Once the oompah bands and singalongs get going, you can hit the dance floor for DJs later in the night. Plus, every guest gets a commemorative Harvest Haus glass stein to take home.

Four terrifying corn mazes are waiting for you after dark. 🌽👻

Field of Screams is back at Historic O’Keefe Ranch for its 13th season, appropriately named “Unlucky 13,” with four completely new maze themes to brave through November 1.

This year, you can make your way through the unsettling Pioneer Village, get disoriented by mirrors and optical illusions inside Distortion, enter a twisted Chocolate Factory and check into a Vintage Hotel you might regret visiting. 😳

Kelowna is getting a brand-new waterfront swimming venue. 🏊‍♀️🌊

The has received $12.9 million through the WAVE Prize to build a new public swim venue in City Park along Okanagan Lake.

The “one-of-a-kind” venue is planned for the site of the former Ogopogo Stadium and Pool, bringing public swimming back to a spot that was once home to one of Kelowna’s most iconic aquatic facilities.

The new space is expected to expand access to the lake while creating more opportunities for swimming, recreation, events and community gatherings along the waterfront.

The original Ogopogo Stadium and Pool opened in 1954 and hosted national swimming, diving and rowing events before burning down in 1969.

The Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl is happening from September 25 to October 4, with more than 35 cafés and bakeries serving limited-edition croissant creations and drink pairings.

There’s no ticket required. Just choose your stops, purchase whatever catches your eye and make your way through the crawl at your own pace. 🥐☕️

You can also collect stamps in a Croissant Passport, vote for your favourite flavour and take part in photo scavenger hunts for the chance to win prizes.
