Folks, if you’re anywhere near East Wenatchee, Washington, on Saturday night, September twenty-sixth, twenty twenty-six, you point your pickup toward the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval. That’s the Les Schwab Tires Support Class Nationals. Les Schwab is back as presenting sponsor, and that name has been tied to this event long enough to mean something.
Now, the full qualifying sheet isn’t locked as we speak, so I won’t hand you a list of names that hasn’t been made official. But the track is expecting a strong field from all over the Northwest. Early registration is open, and they want those teams signed in so the show comes off right.
What’s on the card? Rockstar Energy B-Mods. Plumb Perfect Roadrunners. Knutson General Contracting Crown Vic Stocks. WMRA Midgets. Mini Bombers. B&T Towing Youth Roadrunners. Northwest Focus Midgets. That’s a full night of support-class thunder under the lights. The WMRA and Northwest Focus Midgets make this an NW Midget Nationals date, and those little cars throw more drama per pound than anything on the schedule.
What’s at stake? Real money: one thousand dollars to win in the feature races, five hundred dollars to win in others. A championship hangs in the balance for some of these divisions. For a support-class racer, that’s not pocket change. That’s a season’s worth of tires, fuel, and respect.
But what this race really means? It’s the night the grinders become the headliners. It’s a young kid in a Youth Roadrunner feeling the grandstand cheer, a Crown Vic driver proving heart beats horsepower, a B-Mod crew going home with a trophy and a story. Every lap deserves a witness. On September twenty-sixth, they get one huge night to be the show.
