This is one of those small tweaks that costs you almost nothing but changes where your content can show up. 🎡

When you add music to a carousel post, it becomes eligible to appear in the Reels tab, not just the regular feed. That means it has a chance of reaching people who don't follow you yet, through a completely different discovery surface. πŸ‘€

You're not changing the content. You're not reformatting anything. You're just adding audio and opening up a second distribution path for the same post. πŸ‘πŸ»

Worth trying on your next carousel and seeing what difference it makes in your reach numbers.

This feature is genuinely underused, and I don't know why. 🎬

When someone leaves a comment or question on your post, you can reply directly with a Reel instead of text. The original comment shows up as a sticker on the video and links back to your original post.

What this means practically:
1️⃣ One good comment becomes a new piece of content.
2️⃣ That new content links back to your original post, giving it another moment of visibility.
3️⃣ And the person who asked feels seen, which is always good for community.

If you're ever wondering what to make next, go through your recent comments. The questions are already there. The content ideas are already there. You just have to film the answer.

For hospitality brands especially, customer questions in your comments are a goldmine for this. πŸ’‘

One of the most underused content strategies on Instagram is also one of the simplest. 🎯

Drop a question sticker on your Stories asking your audience what they want to see next. Read the responses. Turn the best ones into Reels. πŸŽ₯

You're no longer creating content based on what you think will land. You're creating content you already know people asked for. That's a very different starting point. πŸ‘πŸ»

And here's the bonus: screenshot the question sticker response and use it as your hook. "Someone asked me..." is one of the most reliable openers you can use because it signals immediately that real people wanted this answer.

For my freelancers and small business owners, this is how you build a content calendar that actually serves your audience instead of just filling your grid.

If you're planning a collab post with another creator or brand, this detail actually makes a difference. πŸ“²

The larger account should be the one to initiate the collab and send the invite to the smaller account, not the other way around. πŸ™‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Why? Because the initial distribution push comes from whichever account posts it first. Both audiences will eventually see it, but the opening momentum comes from the initiating account. Starting from the larger audience gives the post the best possible reach from the jump. πŸ‘πŸ»

So if you're the smaller account, let them initiate. If you're the bigger one, don't wait for the other person to send the invite.

Small detail. Meaningful difference in how the post performs out of the gate.

A small update that's actually going to save a lot of steps πŸ‘πŸ»

Instagram's Edits app now lets you export directly to Stories, not just Reels. Which means if you've been editing a clip and want it on your Stories, you no longer have to download it first and reupload it manually.

If you've been using Edits for short-form content, this is worth knowing about.

For my hospitality clients and freelancers already editing in the app, this just made your workflow a little cleaner.

Try it on your next post and let me know how it goes.

Love you

----------

A "thank you for saving my life, I'm literally just [X]" social media post is a meme format where creators dramatically thank an ordinary or trivial object as if it completely changed or saved their life. The humor comes from the exaggerated gratitude being applied to something completely mundane, creating an ironic and highly relatable contrast.

How brands can use it: Brands can turn everyday products, services, or experiences into their β€œlife-saving” hero. A coffee shop could say, β€œthank you for saving my life, I’m literally just an iced latte,” while a hotel could use β€œthank you for changing my life, I’m literally just a hotel robe.” It works especially well for products people already have an emotional or habitual relationship with, because the exaggeration makes the content feel like a meme rather than an advertisement.

Here's something most people don't think about when building carousels.

If someone scrolls past without engaging, Instagram will often resurface that carousel later, but not necessarily from slide one. It might start on slide three, or four, or wherever the algorithm decides to try again.

Which means every single slide needs to be able to hook someone cold. Not just your cover. πŸ‘€

Before you post your next carousel, ask yourself: if someone landed on slide five first, would they still stop and swipe? If the answer is no, that slide needs work.

Strong carousels aren't just well-designed. They're built so every slide earns the next one.

Every platform gives you a wall of numbers πŸ”’

The problem isn't a lack of data; it's not knowing which numbers matter. 🀨

πŸ’₯ The fix: track less, more intentionally, starting from your goals and working back to five metrics that actually indicate progress. What separates intentional growth from posting and hoping is a feedback loop: notice something, form a hypothesis, act, measure the result.

Swipe for the full breakdown: which metrics matter, reporting cadence, and troubleshooting the most common headaches πŸ‘‰πŸ»
