Something historic is happening in Old Town Lansing right now, and wherever you are, you can still be part of it.
Since 10 a.m. Monday, musicians from across the Midwest have been playing nonstop at UrbanBeat in an attempt to set the record for the world's longest continuous jam session. The mark to beat is 57 hours. That falls at 7 p.m. ET tonight, and they're aiming to keep going and even push past 60 hours total.
At least three musicians on stage at all times. No breaks. No pre-recorded music. Dozens of genres. Nearly three days and counting.
It's free and open to the public. Head down to UrbanBeat this evening to watch the record fall in person, or catch the livestream at volume.com/t/CL2X2l
We're proud to be a sponsor of The Longest Jam alongside MICA and UrbanBeat. This is what Old Town does best: pull a community together around something that shouldn't be possible and make it happen anyway.
