Yammer Jaw opened up for Latter at Drkmttr on Wednesday, Amanda Haggard at Nashville Scene writing that the band "opened with a set punctuated with bursts of frenetic energy, sliding between shreddy, technical guitar and hard-hitting rhythms."

Their debut LP, Burth, drops Friday, September 18. The first single "Cuckin' Round" is streaming now. More to come!

Baltimore emo trio The Unheard Ones bring lost 1990s recordings to light with Stories and Songs — a collection of previously unreleased studio and demo recordings, out September 18 on Handstand Records. 📼

Their run lasted just two years (1995–1997), sharing stages with scene legends like the Great Unraveling, Plunger, Harriet the Spy, Monorchid, and the Crownhate Ruin.

The recordings languished for nearly three decades until Colin Seven (Universal Order of Armageddon) championed the release, connecting Handstand with surviving members Tim Kabara and Lisa Starace, marking the first time all seven studio recordings have been collected together.

The album honors late drummer Eli Jones, with proceeds benefiting MusiCares.

The physical LP comes with a 32-page zine of archival photos, ephemera, and writing from notable musicians. Digital editions add five bonus tracks. https://handstandrecords.com/store/items/the-unheard-ones-stories-and-songs-12-inch-lp/

1996, I started AMR in my parents garage. I love music But the fact is...the music biz is an incredibly horrible industry. With the most sh*tty individuals you can ever imagine. POWER, GREED, MISOGYNY, BOYS CLUB, RACISM, EGOISTS & the list will go on and on.

I wanted AMR to be about community. It's about friends making music/ uplifting each other in non music related events/ holding each other accountable for mistakes and forgiving and learning and growing. It's about giving someone a call just to talk, not about business but perhaps about how much we love degrassi.

I'm so lucky to have made my best friends through AMR. People I trust with all my heart. Holding their newborns(and they hold mine), going to amusement parks, eating junk food, talking wrestling, officiating weddings for so many of the AMR artists. To put that kind of trust in me on their most important day.

TBH, not much has changed in the last 30 years. I still run the label out of the same garage and everything pretty much looks the same( - my full head of grey hair). 30 years is a pretty special number, but I just can't imagine doing this at a large corporate venue. It had to be at my favorite venue: BOTTOM OF THE HILL.

I did not expect the shows to sell out in minutes without even saying what bands were playing(which is WILD to me), so I apologize to those who weren't able to get tickets....But BTH was the only place this could take place at.

They are family to me. Independent/female owned in a time where the live nations of the world have bought out even the smallest of venues. We need to support DIY/indie venues more than ever. And the cherry on top and saddest part of this is the closure of BTH at the end of the year.

To the bands playing. Thank you for doing this. Every headliner took a pay cut because they are my friends. I mean JOYCE MANOR just sold out the f word FILLMORE!! I'm going to shut up now and just say thank you for 30 years of AMR. My Hope is to continue growing as a community and to strive for more than corporate greed. With all my love..... Peace , mike park
PS - how many typos did I make ?
