Stockholm!
Did you know that in Stockholm, not only the streets have names, but all blocks of houses too? Most of the block names in Gamla Stan (the historic city center) refer to mythological figures.

Luxembourg City is the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. As you can still see from the map, its location on a narrow plateau between the rivers Alzette and Pétrusse made it of strategic importance in earlier times. It was known as the “Gibraltar of the North”. Nowadays, you can still see where the fortifications used to be.

What do you think of this kind of map? 💭

This is a new style of mapping I recently started to use. I color the parts of the map within the city/municipality border, and the background is drawn in a see-through effect.

This map was a custom design for my family.

Of all cities I've mapped so far, Adelaide was the first to transition from 2021 to 2022. But a close runner-up was Taipei. This map was a custom design for two good friends of mine.

Check out this wonderful book of infographics of the Roman Empire! A picture says more than a thousand words 😊

“Het Romeinse Rijk in Infographics” by John Scheid and Nicolas Guillerat (translation Henriette Gorthuis) presents everything there is to know about the Roman Empire in maps, graphs and flow charts. Ranging from the origins of the empire, politics, religion, economy, military campaigns,… You name it, it’s in the book.
This is truly great stuff.

De prijzen lijken ineens hoger geworden, maar schijn bedriegt: de verzendingskosten zijn nu gewoon mee in de prijs berekend, in plaats van achteraf. Wanneer je de kaart in Hasselt komt ophalen geef ik uiteraard korting 😊
