The main principle of organizing the event is that everything that you have not taken care of will go wrong as you planned. To successfully gather an audience for an event, make an announcement checklist in advance. The to-do list is relevant, even if you know all the steps and have passed them hundreds of times. It's like piloting an airplane — the pilot knows what he needs to do during takeoff and landing, but still works according to the checklist. One mistake — and everything will go wrong as planned.
1. Identify the target audience
Who do you want to see at the event? In addition to the classic "gender, age, geography", find out the interests of your customers: which cafes they visit, where they work, which social networks they use, who they read, what words they use in communication, what is important to them and what determines their behavior. And be sure to determine what problem the client wants to solve.
Do you talk about your work differently with your parents, friends and colleagues? It's the same with customers: they have their own interests, familiar vocabulary and communication channels. If you do not keep a portrait of your target audience in your head, then your message will be depersonalized and will disappear in the flow of the same type of stamps — "we invite you to the best event at the ideal price".
How to do it
Talk to the sales department — this is a storehouse of information. No one knows the client as well as the specialists who communicate with them every day. Prepare a list of questions about customers, grab a chocolate bar with nuts and go to the sales managers.
Study customer reviews: read them on your website, on the website of competitors, call customers, interview the most loyal ones. Find out why they decided to use the product, why they chose you, what is important to them. Believe me, the price is not the most important factor.
Use CRM and social networks: look at information about customers, find them in social networks. Be sure to follow what they are interested in, how they live, what is important for them?
