One of my favorite things about my job is when I get to celebrate my client wins.

Especially when they had struggled with marketing their business in the past.

Just six months ago I began working with my client Lana. When we started working together she was overwhelmed with her marketing.

She struggled with trying to figure the right messaging to connect with her ideal customers and how to market her program authentically. She was feeling frustrated and confused about Facebook Ads.

I see some new faces around here, so I thought it’s probably time I introduce myself!

I am Samantha!

By day you can find me at my home office in Chicago, supporting the growth of mom-owned businesses in the fitness/wellness space, by helping them find and convert more clients with digital marketing strategies.

But come 5pm and on weekends I’m all about that mom and wife life.
Playing with trucks, dancing, or watching the garbage truck with my 2 year old son
Cooking healthy meals, baking tasting treats and enjoying all the cheese
Snuggling on the couch with my husband while we binge HGTV or whatever Netflix show we’re watching

And for some “ME” time, I enjoy 5am streaming Barre and Pilates workouts, long walks and the occasional spa day!

I’ll be honest, I need this reminder on a regular basis myself. We spend so much time balancing owning a business, mom-ing, managing a household, making time for our significant others, it’s hard to remember that we need to take time for ourselves too.

That’s why I made the decision to take this week “off” from my business. Yes, there are still some things I need to check in on, but for the most part, I am not working. I’m not taking meetings, I’m not responding to emails, I’m not working on big projects.

I knew I needed a break, so I planned ahead. This post you’re seeing (and the ones you’ll continue to see over the next few days)- they were created in advance and scheduled. So were my emails and next week's blog post.

My out of office response is set up. My automations are in place. My content content pre-recorded, written and scheduled. My business is (mostly) running behind the scenes, allowing me to enjoy this time with my family and have some “Me” time during nap time (meaning I’ll be finishing The Morning Show, clearing out the DVR, and binging HGTV from noon-2pm most days 🤣)

So, as we head into the final week of 2022, I urge you to also take some time to rest, relax, and do whatever makes you happy. Because taking that time for yourself, will help you be a better mom and a better business owner.
