🔥 New Custom Lettering/Logo Work for Tribe.

Tribe is a weekly service for a youth group down near San Antonio, TX. I had a lot of fun exploring different styles for them. Ultimately we landed on the middle concept of the 6th image matched with the bottom green on the last image, but we tweaked how we treated it for the final look. I'll have to share that some other time.

A little personal achievement: Stretched myself creatively and expanded on simple but complex ideas. Hand-drew on paper/procreate then retraced in Adobe Illustrator.

Spent a few months updating my best-selling font, Triton: Sports Font, into an expanded font family. What used to be 1 weight in a Serif/Sans style with matching "italics" is now 12 styles (6 normal + 6 italic). It was a huge overhaul as I ended up redrawing most of the letters, numbers, punctuation, etc. Then the kerning...I tried my best but that's definitely my least favorite part of making a font.

Shameless ask: If anyone knows anyone at EA Sports who can get this font into FIFA...please, please help me make that happen. Ireland's National team & entire organization is/are using Triton and I think it would enhance the fan experience if they can see my font on their kits while they play. AND personally, it would be a dream to finally be in FIFA since I grew up playing soccer and FIFA.

New Font Release:: NeonSplice.
It's inspired by tech wear, streetwear, mech & gundam designs.

I made the Caps the condensed letterforms and then lowercase is the wider/stretched out ones so you can mix-and-match as you type along. There's a basic set of punctuation but I see this more as a headline font you'd use in large bursts vs body copy.

Outside of that, a fun experiment and build process.

It’s loaded with alternate glyphs to give you a variety of looks and feels and uses both Upper & Lowercase sets to support that feature.
Add some grunged up textures to really make it pop and get creative with it!

A semi-customized use of My best-selling font, Triton, was spotted in use at the 2018 FIFA World Cup by / idk how much was involved with my font being used but yeah…still very freaking awesome!

All of this I came across via google searches over the years and I actually saw a couple of the games live back then and suspected it was my font but doubted it some cause no one ever contacted me about it. I hope seeing my original number set is convincing enough.

Hope I can get to work (intentionally this time) with or in the future but anyway…my work was in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, baby! How cool is that?!

Shouts to the unknown designer who thought my font was good enough for the job back then too! Good eye! 😉
