Autobody, Out now!

10/05/2026

Some thrillers follow the formula.

AUTOBODY and LIPS were written to break it.

Two completely different stories. Two original premises. And two books that refuse to take you where you think they’re going.

AUTOBODY turns obsession, murder, and craftsmanship into something disturbingly beautiful.

LIPS pulls you into a calculated psychological game where the law, justice, and murder become dangerously intertwined.

Carter Vale’s writing has an almost poetic darkness to it. Atmospheric. Visual. Uncomfortable when it needs to be. The kind of writing that draws you deeper before you realize the story has already changed direction.

These aren’t predictable thrillers.

Every time you think you have it figured out, AUTOBODY and LIPS twist again.

Two books.
Two killers.
Two worlds unlike anything you’ve read before.

Are you ready to enter the mind of Carter Vale?

There’s a point in LIPS where you stop trying to figure out who you can trust.

And that’s exactly where I wanted you.

This story was written for readers who love the moment when a thriller gets under your skin. When something feels wrong, but you can’t quite explain why. When you tell yourself one more chapter… and suddenly it’s way too late to stop.

The messages I’ve been getting from readers loving LIPS have been incredible.

If you’ve read it, I want to know: At what point did you realize this story wasn’t going where you thought it was?

And if you haven’t read it yet, LIPS is available now on Amazon.

Just don’t expect it to play nice.

If you’re a fan of Jeff Lindsay, Alex Michaelides, Karin Slaughter, Alex North, or Adrian McKinty, you’re going to want to put AUTOBODY: HIS FINAL MASTERPIECE on your reading list.

This is the kind of thriller that pulls you in early and keeps tightening the screws.

A small town. A sinister secret. A killer who knows exactly how to stay out of sight.

You’ll think you know where the story is going.

You won’t.

Every chapter adds another piece to the puzzle, while the tension keeps building toward a finale you won’t see coming.

AUTOBODY: HIS FINAL MASTERPIECE.

Start reading. Try to figure it out before the book does.

I’m going to be completely honest about something nobody really tells you about writing a book.

I’ve spent months marketing and promoting LIPS.

Months creating posts, videos, graphics, reaching out, trying different platforms, talking about the story, building anticipation, and asking people to take a chance on a book written by an independent author.

And I’ve had some incredible people help me along the way. People who shared the book, supported the launch, talked about it, and helped push LIPS further than I could have done alone.

And after all of that?

Three copies sold this month.

Yes, I know three is better than zero. And I genuinely appreciate every single person who bought a copy. You have no idea what that means to an independent author.

But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frustrated.

Because I believe LIPS is a damn good novel.

I believe the story, the characters, the pacing, the suspense and the twists deserve far more attention than they’re getting.

And honestly…

Whoever said writing a book was hard has never had to market one.

Writing is the part I love.

Marketing it day after day, month after month, trying to convince strangers to give your story a chance? That’s a completely different battle.

I’m not giving up on writing. Not even close.

But I am questioning whether putting this much time and energy into promotion is actually producing the results an independent author needs.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Maybe the algorithm doesn’t care.

Maybe readers simply haven’t discovered LIPS yet.

Or maybe I just need the right people to finally take a chance on it.

So if you’re a reader who loves psychological thrillers, dark secrets, suspense, twists and stories that keep you guessing, take a look at LIPS.

Maybe you’ll be one of the readers who helps this book finally find its audience.

LIPS is out there. It just needs to be discovered.

📖 If you haven’t read it yet, search for LIPS by Carter Vale and give it a look.

And if you’ve already read it, tell me what you thought. Your review could help more than you realize.

To my readers. To my fellow authors. And to anyone fighting a battle no one else can see.

Life has a way of testing us.

Not just once. Sometimes it tests us over and over again, stripping away the things we thought we could count on and forcing us to find out what we’re really made of.

I’ve been tested.

I’ve suffered to get where I am today. I’ve faced struggles that most people know nothing about. I’ve lost everything more than once. I’ve had moments where walking away would have been the easier choice.

But there is one thing I never lost.

My fight.

The fight to keep going.
The fight to rebuild.
The fight to put another word on the page when the words wouldn’t come.
The fight to believe that the story wasn’t over yet.

Being an author can be its own kind of test. Rejection. Doubt. Silence. Algorithms. Sales that don’t come. Comparing yourself to writers who seem to be succeeding while you’re wondering if anyone will ever read your work.

But here’s what I’ve learned.

You don’t have to win every battle. You just have to stay in the fight.

If you’re struggling right now, personally or professionally, don’t mistake a difficult chapter for the ending.

Keep writing.
Keep building.
Keep believing.
Keep fighting.

Because sometimes the people who make it aren’t the ones who had the easiest road.

They’re the ones who refused to stop walking it.

Stay in the fight. Your story isn’t finished yet.
