Take into account the fact that most of your audience don’t see your social media posts because of the algorithm and you need to repeat yourself more than ever.

Most people wouldn’t say my style is super classic. I rock glitter Choos regularly and obviously mixing red and pink is my jam, but it’s accessories where I really like to play with style.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your business deserves your best no matter how many people you’re serving.

I talk to a lot of people who have great client experience ideas but think: “I’ll wait until I have a bigger audience so it’s more impactful.”

But those great ideas? Treating your people like VIPs? That’s how you get the bigger audience to show up.

Prove to them, consistently, what they can expect from you and people will start to believe you.

Do you have a morning routine? It seems like the thing to have when you’re an entrepreneur...

I’m definitely not part of the five am club but once I do wake up nothing much gets done until I’ve fired up my trusty Nespresso. (I recycle the pods—don’t come for me!)

Personally, the morning routine thing never stuck. Unless you count wake up, have coffee, brush teeth.

What I’ve found invaluable is having an evening routine. Clear off my desk, get to inbox zero, write down tomorrow’s priority, and check what time I have meetings.

That way I can have a lazy start to the day, wait for my caffeine to kick in as I walk Floof, and then start work fresh and fired up without worrying that I’m missing something.

It’s just another example of doing your own thing rather than struggling to follow the crowd.

It’s why you need to start you brand with brand and business strategy, yes, even if it’s a personal brand. The strategy informs the best choices for you and your business.

That way you can make a plan that works (like my morning routine that happens at night) instead of following the crowd and making decisions that don’t vibe with your unique strengths and skills.

I HATE when people say... “just fake it til you make it” cause they’re implying you’re not good enough just as you are.

You don’t need to pretend to be someone else to succeed in business.

You don’t have to wear your brand like a mask that hides who you really are because you’re scared someone might actually see the real you.

Your personal brand should fit like a glove and grow with you. It’s not about appear more legitimate than you feel, or tricking people into thinking you’re someone that you’re not.

Those tactics? They’re the exact same thing every bro-marketer leaning against a rented lambo before they film on their fake private jet built on a soundstage.

Your ideal audience, customers and clients will love you for you. And it’s a hell of a lot less stressful to be truly you.

Masquerading means remembering who you’re supposed to be, how you’re supposed to act, the things you’re supposed to like...

Screw that 👋🏻

Instead of faking it til you make it commit to the truth that there is no “made it” this journey through business and life is always going to be a work in progress.

But if you show up as yourself and curate a personal brand that lets the real you shine... you can take the journey in style.
