It has been a nightmare ever since my eldest brother Mayihrii, then age 25 was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease in the year 2018 at Raj Medicity, Imphal. Since then he has been in Imphal with my mother in a rented house for dialysis twice every week, a 104 km from my home village.
My name is Athiso Eziini and I am raising funds for my Brother Athishu Mayihrii, who is suffering from Kidney (renal) Failure. As a youth, Mayihrii’s only aspiration is to live life like any other friends of his age and contribute something positive to the family and the society. A flicker of hope came when my kidney drew a perfect match for the transplant.
However, a kidney transplant is an operation way beyond the income of a family who solely depends on my father’s income. My father is the only earning member of the family and his salary is mere enough to meet the daily expenses of our life. Never ever in our dreams did we think that we would be in a vulnerable condition due to an illness of our very own family member.
Whatever little savings that we had are all exhausted in his treatment and dialysis till date. We have taken loans and relied on friends and relatives who have contributed more than their share of responsibilities. At this dark and difficult moment, I am out of words for my brother whose kidney transplant can mean a divine intervention our family has always dreamed of but for the amount needed for the operation is a big hindrance that is coming our way.
Therefore, it is my earnest plea to anyone to sympathetically contribute any amount of money towards the anticipated operation of my brother. We shall be forever grateful for the blessings and constitutions that will help my brother head a normal life.
