Dapat sagutin. Pero syempre itatangi. Dapat mag resign. Pero syempre hindi. Dapat may delikadesa. Pero syempre kakapit sa pwesto. Dapat isara na ang kongreso. Pero syempre ayaw. Dapat public servants. Pero servants of power and money. Do the honorable thing -Resign- then defend yourselves. Do not use the position to protect yourselves and obstruct justice. Do not stay in position and cast doubt on the investigation. Let justice go its own course...honorables!

"DY PUSHES TRANSPARENT, PEOPLE-CENTERED CONSULTATIONS ON ANTI-POLITICAL DYNASTY BILL"

CARMONA CITY, CAVITE — Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III on Thursday reaffirmed his commitment to open and honest public dialogue as the House of Representatives launched its nationwide consultations on the proposed Anti-Political Dynasty Act. The first leg of the consultation was held at Carsigma Gym along Sugar Road, Carmona City.

During the press conference, political Dynasty meaures Chairman Hon. Ziaur Rahman "Zia" Alonto Adiong Representative for the 1st District of Lanao del Sur, emphasized that the consultation process reflects the House’s commitment to shaping major and politically sensitive legislation through transparent and sincere dialogue with the Filipino people.

The consultation was presided over by Lanao del Sur Representative Zia Alonto Adiong, Chairperson of the House Committee on Electoral Reforms and Suffrage.

Discussions centered on several pending anti-political dynasty measures, including House Bill No. 6771, filed by Speaker Dy together with House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos. The proposed measure seeks to implement the 1987 Constitution’s policy on political dynasties by clearly defining prohibited family relationships and setting limits on the holding of elective posts.

Speaker Dy underscored that the proposal responds to a long-standing public clamor for reform.“Sa usapin ng panukalang batas hinggil sa political dynasty, malinaw po na matagal na itong hinihintay ng sambayanang Pilipino,” he said.
Acknowledging the varied and often competing perspectives surrounding the issue, Dy stressed that the consultations aim to gather insights from the public before any final decisions are made.
He further assured that the House would open the discussions to voices from across the country.
Speaker Dy reiterated the chamber’s seriousness in advancing the measure, emphasizing that meaningful public participation is key to crafting a strong and effective law.
He also called on participants to ensure respectful and constructive discussions.
Dy assured the public that the House would carefully consider all views gathered during the consultations.
“Ang Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan ay handang makinig, handang maglingkod, at handang kumilos para sa ikabubuti ng ating bayan,” he said.
Additional consultations are scheduled nationwide as the House continues to gather public input before committee deliberations resume on the proposed measure.
