My short video about Voortrekker—a legendary desert-adapted elephant in Namibia—was taken down, even though it didn’t show violence.
Voortrekker was known for his gentle nature and for helping re-establish elephant herds in the Ugab and Huab river regions. Locals called him "Old Man." Sadly, he was killed by a trophy hunter in 2019 after being declared a “problem animal.”
I don’t support trophy hunting. I simply wanted to share his story and raise awareness about the ongoing threats faced by Africa’s iconic wildlife.

We visited Almar Exclusive Game Ranch, tucked away on a game farm in the Bloemhof District—deep in the malaria-free African bush and far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The road getting there may be a bit rough, but once you arrive, it’s totally worth it. A fantastic place to unwind, connect with nature, and soak up the peace and beauty of the bush-veld. Now on our way to Kruger park
