The pandemic forced people to look for safer buying options via online shopping. Social media has become a large part of those online purchases, and this tendency is not slowing down.
According to eMarketer, social shopping, which includes transactions performed on or through platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, will be a $45.7 billion market by the end of this year. Influencers and content creators through their product promotions, posts, unboxing videos and reviews supported these efforts.
Working with influencers could be a great way to increase conversions through influencer marketing efforts.
Purchases made through social media posts are expected to more than double between 2021 and 2025, according to eMarketer’s report from May 2021.
