I dove headfirst in the world of entrepreneurship 11 years ago. I got fed up and quit my corporate job because I had no work-life balance and my health and family are my top priority. So I started a web & graphic design business. Things were going great until I realized that I really didn't have a plan and was just going with the flow. After 3 years of just winging it, I ended up going back to corporate because I couldn't run my business alone and life happens. My husband did what he could to support me, but he had a full-time job. I knew I had to go back to work but really didn't want to. A little over 2 years ago, I decided to return to entrepreneurship while working full-time, and I was going to do it right this time. I came up with a plan to get educated in running a business. My first instinct was to restart the business I had before, but after investing in myself and getting some coaching from experts. I realized that running a design business is not what I wanted to do anymore. My mission is to help people who are like me. How can I do that?
An idea was sparked after I completed a mentorship program to scale, assist and empower women in business. It was a 6-month program with five other women. We all met twice a month to discuss our businesses and what we can do to help them grow. This mentorship program was very helpful, but I wanted it to continue. I realized that I could use my expertise in marketing, email marketing, branding, and design to help other women solopreneurs in their businesses. That's when I came up with the Innovators Dream Box. A monthly subscription box designed to motivate and support women who want to grow their own business. Each month women will receive 4-5 business-related items, books, office supplies, planners, & marketing materials, access to a private network of strong women, and online resources that will help them build a stronger business and give them the motivation to keep pursuing their dreams.
