"This is Lily Brillantes Yanson Part who, like Teresa Magbanua, is a modern-day heroine with roots from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. She is quick to respond to calls for help. Among others, she champions the welfare of the abandoned children of Northern Iloilo. She is there where she is a needed - to provide financial assistance to typhoon victims in Isla Gigantes, to provide school materials to children in the mountains of Antique or the coastal towns of Concepcion, beddings for the fire victims in Jaro, sacks of rice for the children of SOS Children's Village in Zarraga. She shuttles between the Philippines and Austria, now her second home, where she proudly wears her Filipino culture on her sleeve. She actively participates in programs launched by the Philippine Embassy in Vienna and uses these opportunities to showcase Filipino cuisine and fashion. A retired nurse, proud mother to a scientist (Florian) and an educator (Margot), loving wife to Alois. She instantly loved this mural when I first showed it to her over the weekend. Juxtaposed, the strength of these two women cannot be denied."

Inviting filmmakers, young and old to join the Montañosa Film Festival 2022 short film competitions!
Here’s your chance to make your dream film project a reality as we celebrate the convergence of different stories and unique journeys.

Join the 2nd Montañosa Film Festival Short Film Competition with the festival theme: "MINDSET CHANGE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE". MFF2022 features three (3) films in competition categories namely: Narrative Shorts (Crossing Borders), Documentary Shorts (Climate Change Films), and Mobile Phone Shorts (Inspiring Community Stories).

Shortlisted filmmakers will be invited to attend and participate in the Montañosa Film Camp for an opportunity to interact and learn from distinguished mentors and filmmakers.

10 Finalists per competition category will be given a modest seed fund to produce their short films and vie for prizes and prestige.
