Humble Beginnings

For years I toyed with the idea of “making it official” and actually launching a small business. I always found an excuse to stall out. The time has come to take the plunge.

Rooting for others comes naturally. It’s our natural tendency to pull for the underdog. We can’t get enough of the zero-to-hero stories that inspire us to do great things. So we cheer on others hoping they will succeed while, at the same time, striving to succeed in our own lives. When the underdog wins it feels like a win for all of us.

My passion for marketing is built on my desire to help others succeed. While in Dallas, TX I cut my teeth by marketing in the real world while working for a consulting firm serving non-profit organizations. There I learned the science, study, and secret sauce of building campaigns with strategy. It is also in Dallas where I learned the power of measurability. When something works, keep it. When a message falls on deaf ears (no matter how much effort was involved with spreading the message), scrap it and hit the drawing board again. Working for these non-profit organizations provided me the knowledge and ability to market effectively for others. I learned how to help others win.
