I get it; there are a lot of content creators out there, so you want to stand out. You make reels with complicated editing and create carousels with many details (sometimes more than you should). You spend way more time creating content than you need to. And then, you share the content, which barely gets views and has a low engagement rate! You’re surprised, disappointed, and wondering what went wrong.

Your audience receives so much content daily that they want something short, clear, and to the point.

Who cares about followers? 🤷🏻‍♀️
✋🏼Before you all jump on me, I want to be clear: Gaining thousands of followers on your Instagram isn’t a BAD thing!

But, what good is the size of your audience if no one is engaging with your content?❓
If all the people who follow you are not actively engaging with your content, your engagement rate will be lower.⬇️ A lower engagement rate means fewer people see your posts, which can result from low reach.

⭐You need an audience, no doubt, but you need engagement more. ⭐
Maintaining awareness of the two is key to maximizing your Instagram Growth.

Yes, we're all trying to figure out how the algorithm works, and Instagram doesn't make it easier when he's changing daily!

I found that there are a few things you can do to push your reel to a wider audience

So, start integrating your strategy with meaningful comments to people on your niche:

◽Choose the most recent posts
◽Write meaningful comments on these posts

OMG!!! Where are all my saved reels?! 😩
It's happened to the best of us - you're in the middle of editing a reel on Instagram, and suddenly your phone crashes, you accidentally logged out of the app, or accidentally deleted a Reels draft that you planned to post.
When you return to your drafts, you don't see any of your reels!! 😲

👉🏼I know this is the WORST feeling ever! (and I'm not trying to be overdramatic).

So many things are happening with Instagram lately: new updates, glitches, and eventually - Instagram is a technology, and this is why many unexpected "surprises" can happen.

Ok, we've all seen that Instagram Reels have become the best way to get more followers and engagement on Instagram.

But, sometimes, it seems that no matter what we do - our reels barely get views.
Now let me tell you something, I was trying so hard to understand what my reels were barely getting views, and I found out that I simply needed to focus on three things:
◽𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲 - find your Instagram niche and stick to it.
◽𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 - stay consistent on how often you post, when, and what type of content you post.
◽𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - it's your chance to express yourself to your followers and drive engagement.

👉🏼Adopt those tips, and I'm sure you'll start making your reels better and gaining more followers. 💯👌🏼

Many people wonder if hashtags improve their posts' reach on Instagram. Recently, our beloved Adam Mosseri, chief of Instagram, poured cold water on the hashtag debate by noting that hashtags don't help views. 😟

Now, I stopped using hashtags; surprisingly, I have reached even more of an audience on Instagram! 👉🏼I started focusing on more appealing captions and using relevant keywords.

More than that, if people resonate with your content, they read it, and once they spend more time reading it - the algorithm promotes your post to more and more people who might also be interested in your content. 💯

➡️So what are your next steps?
1️⃣Look at your past posts and evaluate them to see where you can improve.
2️⃣Then create a strategy for how you will make your Instagram captions in the future so they align with your business goals and encourage greater engagement.😊

I keep mentioning it because I keep seeing people who say that reels hurt the engagement, and you can grow your business on Instagram using other features (for example, carousels).

Many accounts have thousands of followers and high engagement, and only 5% of their content are reels, and they still grow your account.

✋🏼𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐘𝐎𝐔 is that they've been doing it for a while before Instagram became a "video-sharing app." These accounts have loyal followers, and since they keep providing high-quality content and people engage with their content, Instagram keeps showing it to more and more potential followers.

👉🏼If you are new in business and just started promoting your product/service, reels are the best option to reach a much wider audience than just the people following you. ✔️

So don't get fooled by those who tell you that reel won't grow your business - that's bull**sh*t!👎🏼

Like many of you, I have been personally victimized by Instagram Algorithm. 👎🏼

Over the last few years, I've noticed a significant drop in my impressions, engagement, and number of new followers. And I believe we all know the reason - ⭐Instagram's 2022 Algorithm⭐. Thank you Instagram for showing my content for only 10% of my followers. 😩

𝗕𝘂𝘁, 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀.
And instead of keep complaining - we need to start adopting it.

With the new IG algorithm, you HAVE TO keep your followers as active and engaged as possible:
◽Reels.
◽Post stories.
◽Reply to your DM.
◽Reply to comments.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

The new algorithm encourages to be more personal and authentic. Stop focusing on the number of followers and start focusing on building a relationship with your followers. 🙌🏼

I know that feeling...😕
Even though filming reels can be so much fun, sometimes you just don't have the energy to dress up, film the reel, edit it and write a caption.

But, since today you have to be doing reels as a part of your strategy, you have to look at it as part of the things you do on your weekly tasks.

◽Start by deciding on a day where you look for relevant trends you can use to show your product/business.
◽Save the audio, and copy it into your notes on your phone.
◽Write in a few words what you plan to film, where, and what text the reel will include.
◽Decide on a fixed day where you'll film your reels for the next week.
◽Decide on another day where you'll write captions for the reels.
◽Save the reels on drafts, and don't forget to save them on your camera roll.
◽Schedule posting these reels.

What I love about Reels is that you can go viral, no matter your audience size. A few of my videos were seen by many more than just my followers, and I even had a video with more than 50K views.

While there is no way to guarantee if a Reel will go viral are a few tricks I've learned for creating reels:
✔️Pick a theme for your Reel.
✔️Jump on the trends with your own personality.
✔️Provide value through education.
✔️Include an attention-grabbing hook.
✔️Add text to your reels.
✔️Create a custom reel cover.
✔️Publish your Reel at peak viewing times.
✔️Share your reels on your Instagram feed and stories.

⭐And the most important thing - KEEP CREATING!⭐
You usually don't go viral on your first Reel. The more Reels you create, the better you will get and the more likely you will go viral. Keep creating, be true to yourself and your brand, and stay encouraged!
