Think about the last time you hired a someone for your business, to do something around your home, your hair, etc. Did you look for the lowest price, or did you look for someone with experience? Did you do any research, or just go with it?
We have all heard the saying, âyou get what you pay for,â and well... it's a saying for a reason. Most of the time, when you hire someone simply based on the lowest price, youâll get someone whoâs not as experienced resulting in a lower quality as a result. Lack of experience can lead to mistakes, and sometimes they are costly. And let's just -- if it's cheap-- it's going to look and be CHEAP.
I know you're thinking, "Right, Bri- I know all this. What's your point?" Stay with me-- I promise I have one đ
Years of experience builds experience, brand, and credibility. Successful business owners know the importance of learning from their own mistakes, adjusting the way they do business when something doesnât work, staying true to their authentic self (and brand) and being willing to serve their tribe!
So what does this have to do with you?
Look-- I'm willing to bet that you may be (or may have at some point) struggled to charge what youâre worth. But here's what happens when you undercut your competition-- you attract the tire kickers who arenât serious customers, don't value your product/service/time/brand/you and will probably still ask you for a discount, drain your energy, expect more than agreed upon, etc.
Let me guess-- your face looks something like this right now đŠ. I'm guessing you know exactly what I'm talking about. And here's the deal-- these people are NOT your tribe! Not only will it result in a headache, drain you and your vibes, but after all of that-- chances are you are actually at a loss. These clients are doubtful to leave you with killer raving testimonials that are essential to attracting your true dream customers/clients you need for your business to grow!
So not only am I allowing you-- I'm BEGGING you to start respecting your time, business, products, services, (and self) enough to dump the losers, and learn to say NO to the vibe vampire clients! My motto has always been that I'd rather turn down a few "$100 clients" to get to perfect "$1k client"! And hey-- if they aren't totally obsessed with my work/brand in a way that makes them want to scream "HELL YES!"-- they are a hell no! đ
Don't get me wrong, I totally understand it can be down right scary to turn down any paying client sometimes! And up until this point, you've probably been attracting the clients that aren't your perfect fit which means it would make sense to wonder how the hell to actually attract your DREAM tribe!
Start by showcasing your expertise (online and off!) Stop being afraid to market yourself. Stop HOPING that people will find you. It's time to really get visible, show up consistently, share your experiences, offer advice, entertain-- SERVE your tribe! THIS will start attracting more new followers and potential new clients! (And increase engagement and sales from existing!)
No matter what stage of business youâre in, whether you just opened your doors or have had a string of clients for years, today is the day to start intentionally building your credibility and sharing your expertise with the world. This is no time to be a wallflower, especially if you have big dreams of growing your business, crushing your goals, being the best version of yourself, living the life you designed. Be proud of your passion, talent, brand, and success and leverage it by intentionally sharing it with your tribe!
And remember--
if you don't know why you're tribe should choose you over anyone else...neither do they! And it's your JOB to know and communicate it clearly! So tell us-- why should your tribe choose YOU? đ¤ˇđťââď¸đ˛âŁď¸
