Super excited to be participating in this year! I decided to use gouache on these pieces - a medium I've never used before - as an extra challenge for myself, and so far I'm enjoying it! I'm excited to see how my technique progresses throughout the month.

“Learning fast is better than being right.”
Today’s podcast had a message that really resonated with me. Sometimes I get SO WORRIED about making a mistake or doing something wrong that I have, in the past, let that stall my learning. I’ve learned a lot in 51 days (officially over halfway through! 🎉) and I’ve also made a lot of mistakes. That just doesn’t stop me from going on anymore.

Fun fact about me: my favorite part of the web design process is wireframing. Not only does it give you a good base to start from as you start actually designing a site, but it can also let you visualize the UX and catch any hangups that might exist before you have to change something across multiple Photoshop layers. ...not that that has ever happened to me.
I created my own wireframing elements kit to make my process more efficient and add to it as I come across pieces I need while working on projects. This allows me to be organized AND on brand, which, yes, are my two love languages.
