1. Double Your Money Online Investment Program
In online/ internet business, don’t fall for the allure of easy money because its only a perception. In reality your chances of having a successful online business are much greater when you are different from the pack.
These schemes abound everywhere on the internet especially on Facebook and Whatsapp. They have defrauded so many people but unfortunately they keep succeeding because due to ignorance, greed and laziness new people keep falling prey to them every day.
They come in different forms, shapes and sizes. They even use the names of government institutions and donor agencies both local and international.
They promise to double your money within a given time interval; some 2 hours, some 4 hours, some 24 hours.
They show you credit alerts and testimonials from their associates to lure you to invest your money. Once you invest, they remove you from the group and block you.
I’m sorry, if they have scammed you already, if they have not then thank your stars and avoid them like a plague.
For the avoidance of doubt, any internet business that does not involve a product or service is a SCAM.
Testimonials and income/earnings are not a CONCLUSIVE proof that an online business is not a scam even if the testimonials and incomes are genuine.
It may still collapse later. Some of them pay very well in the beginning only to collapse shortly afterwards. The “real” payment they make in the beginning is a strategy to build trust and garner more unsuspecting investors for the great kill.
In your search for a genuine online business, don’t just focus on seeing people that it has worked for or have earned from it, even though that it is good but pay more attention to understanding how the business works, what they do, what products or service they offer, how they make money, how you will make your own money and how they will pay you.
If these things are not clear, or they make it complex and confusing, it is most likely fake. If it doesn’t make common sense or add up simply, I advise you stay away
2. Paid to Click Online Business
With this internet business scam, you’re promised you’ll get paid for reading short news, comment on articles, login daily to their the platform, and sharing assigned sponsored post or on every email you click on and read for 60 seconds.
They tell you that you will get paid when you earn up to $50.
When you get to that point and BOOM! you would not be able to login again.
They say that you have breached one rule or the other and ask you to pay extra money before your account can be unblocked
And that is how they all are.
Once you get to the point where you will be paid, they shut your account or they will ask you to upgrade your account, with money that you have to pay again
3. “Get Paid to Tweet” or Share On Facebook”
This online/ internet business is similar to the one I just discussed above.
You’re asked to post a particular link on your Facebook or Twitter account and get paid a certain amount of money for every link you post.
A few platforms do pay though, but the money you are paid is nothing compared to the efforts you put in!
I know one that pays 10$ a week!
Imagine! that is less about N4500 for a full 7 days work, which is about N18,000 a month; that is if everything goes well.
Some of them you actually earn but you cannot withdraw the money.
What good is it to have money on a virtual platform that you cannot withdraw to your bank account and use it to solve your own problems?
Most of these platforms as a matter of fact don’t pay at all
4. Online Surveys
I actually made money with this in one of the platforms, but I could not withdraw even a dime out of it.
Avoid them. They are all outright scams.
5. Online Betting
The truth is that online betting pays. But it is not a sustainable business model you want to build your wealth with. It is still gambling and nothing is certain that the next bet will be profitable.
You can gain today and the next minute, loose everything again.
So it is best you stay clear of it.
It is addictive and people who bet or gamble hardly amount to anything in life even if they win lots of money.
Strive to build your wealth whether online or offline using proven methods and strategies. It may make take efforts, time and resources but it is well worth the trouble.
7. Online MLM (Referral Marketing) Without Product or Service aka Online Ponzi Schemes
This is the most notorious, fanciful, organized and well packaged of them all. Most “big boy” scammers operate this kind of schemes.
Their websites are VERY good and attractive. They have the best technology, structures and deploy very good systems and networks across several countries and continents.
They can even deceive and scam whole governments or institutions. Both the rich and the broke may fall into this. So as an individual you need to shine your “eyes”
Any Online MLM that has no products to back up the business is a scam. Simple and short
Think about it; if it only involves bringing in people, what would happen when people stop signing up because of saturation?
You see why it can’t work?
They may call it “crowd funding”, “etherum smart contract”, “trading”, “Peer-to-Peer”, “Donation”, “Social Intervention”, “Get-help-Give help”, etc. MMM was a classic example that has come and gone but there are still thousands of them out there today all over the internet.
