Did you know that lizards can literally break off their tails to protect themselves? And.it.regenerates?! šŸ¤Æ

I mean, I grew up with squirrels in my pathways. Not lizards. Iā€™ve been in SoCal for 8 years and itā€™s one of my most favorite facts. Now one of my most favorite families knows it too. This crew and I have been with each other for 10 years. Theyā€™ve grown (literally) as a family and Iā€™ve grown as a photographer right alongside them. Super grateful that they took another vacation to San Diego and let me capture them once again in my favorite place.šŸ„°šŸ¤™

Last October I (excitedly) signed up for an workshop not knowing a single soul. Fast forward to this past weekend and I instantly felt welcome. ā¤ļø Thereā€™s something pretty great about being surrounded by creatives who just vibe.

On Saturday, we made our way to the Salton Sea/Bombay Beach, where the level of toxins in the sand were sliiiiiiightly concerning, but the beauty and art outweighed it all!! .moise absolutely carried the shoot with so much grace, led with talent and heartā€¦ I mostly tried to keep up šŸ˜‚.

This isnā€™t the kind of work I usually shareā€”no kids, no familiesā€”but it stretched me in the best way. I came back with dusty feet, NEW FRIENDS, and a little more confidence to try new things. ā™„ļøšŸ“øāœØ
