Have you actually looked at the keywords that are relevant to your business?

By looking at the keywords that are relevant to your business you're able to identify what your customer or your avatar is actually searching for when they are looking for your product or service. We are now moving into a phase where short keywords are still highly endorsed and promoted as are longtail keywords.

Let's use a cake shop for example.

Short tail keywords would be "cake shop Melbourne" or "cakes near me".

Longtail would be "cake shop that has jam doughnuts" or "the most highly reviewed cake shop in Melbourne"
So when you are mapping out your SEO and your keywords be sure to utilise short keywords as well as longtail keywords.

Also, note that Instagram and social media platforms also utilise SEO so if you are a cake shop make sure that your name in your bio mentions you're a cake shop.

This works two fold because Google and other search engines will also crawl through social media pages to present them in their search results so my question is have you SEO proofed your socials and your website?

I recently asked a girlfriend this and we were pretty stumped as to what our dream jobs would be we got to thinking. Hers was to be a popstar mine was to be an author.

Fun fact about me I have always loved to write. I'm actually currently writing a book it is a non-fiction book and involves a romance, I fit it in, in the evenings when I am feeling creative. There's no pressure for me to write as it is a hobby. Who knows watch this space I could be marketing my own book launch in the coming years ;)

As a digital marketer, you might have a look at my socials and think dam this doesn't look legit.

I actually recently interviewed for a role where the interviewer commented that my social presence seemed fairly new. I wholeheartedly agreed with them however please don't use my social platform as proof of the hard work that I do for my clients I'm lucky to be focusing on other people's businesses as you read this post in June I actually scheduled it at the beginning of May.

My books are always open to taking on new clients I have the utmost integrity and if I believe I can complete the work I will take it on. If I feel like I cannot and you would be better suited with another marketing agency I will provide you with references.

Do you utilise that a AIDA model?

This is an acronym that stands for attraction interest desire action.

When selling online via your website or social media a key thing that I see a lot of business owners fail in doing is this. Working in sales successfully for the last 10 years, your customer doesn't care about how pretty it looks in the picture be that for a product or a service. What is the attraction? why do they need it? what are they missing out on in life if they do not have this thing? that sparks interest that then creates desire or FOMO and then comes action.

If you are selling on digital mix up your marketing strategies when it comes to your copy. Being mindful that people don't want to be sold to all the time however when you utilise methodologies like this you can always be subconsciously selling without being salesy.

Here's an example for a wax melts business

"I remember when I was a young child and I would go round my Nannas house it would always smell like this delicious lavender. it made me feel safe and warm can you remember walking into your grandparents h house did it have a particular smell or a scent? When we were creating this new product I wanted to encapsulate that friendly warm feeling of walking into somewhere you recognise and it makes you feel safe and warm if you want to recreate those memories be sure to add it to cart because you do not want to miss out on this limited edition range."

Do you know that a slow website is less likely to convert.
Why you might ask, well unfortunately due to modern technology we want things then and there and it's actually been shown that if the website takes any longer than 5 - 10 seconds to load you have lost that prospect to the site that was sitting above or underneath you on Google.

Googles very smart algorithms also can detect if you have a slow speed site when they are crawling and they will choose not to place your website's health is vital and if you are not checking your websites health you may not know why those site visitors are not converting to sales or leads.

You can do speed checks on your site that are totally free and there are heaps of platforms that can run these. I would recommend doing monthly speed checks especially if you are regularly updating your website.
