Unknown tidbit about you, your boat, or your crew:
I grew up in Iowa and no idea what a sailboat was until I moved to Waukegan and bought a SC22 kit boat in July and sailed it across the Lake Michigan on Labor Day Weekend the same year. We learned a lot about boating after 26 hour trek to South Haven. We took a bottle gin, some Lime and Tonic, two sandwiches, a couple of canteens of water. Our navigation was Ray direction finder and Mobile road map of the upper Midwest.
