3 Tips to Reduce Webinar Costs
Webinar costs per lead have been creeping up for a while now, so it's more important than ever to make sure we bring our A game! Here are 3 tips to keep costs down and get results:
1) Would you ask someone to jump into bed at the beginning of the first date? I hope not! A serious romantic prospect needs to be won over. They need to get to know you and trust you before getting involved. Prospective clients and customers are the same. That's why it's important to "warm up" your audience - share valuable content, give out a few freebies, make Facebook(TM) lives, etc. This will build that know-like-trust factor and lead to more conversions.
2) Have a funnel that makes sense. How do we know if our funnel makes sense? Pay attention to click through conversion rates. Of the people who are coming to your landing page, how many are actually clicking through? Take the number of clicks and divide that by the number of people coming to the landing page (if your pages are properly pixeled, you'll have this info ready to hand). That number should be at least 20%, ideally closer to 50%. If the conversion rate is low, the problem might be that your ad and your landing page aren't speaking to the same people. Make sure that the "pain points", promises, and tone are consistent across all steps of the funnel.
3) Pull people in with a compelling story as the foundation of the ad. Every sentence needs to make them want to read the next sentence...and the next sentence. And the next, and so on, all the way down to the click to opt in. One tip for good story-based copy is to tell a PERSONAL story. Don't ask the audience if THEY feel frustrated or lonely or whatever - tell them about how YOU felt and what you did to fix it. This will make them more likely to connect with you, and it will also help keep your ads from getting rejected from Facebook(TM)! (They don't like language that makes assumptions about other people's feelings or circumstances.)
There you have it! What do you think? Will you try any of these?
