Okay, Let’s Talk About That Viral Coffeebreak Review…

2 years ago I made this post about how negative reviews, when done right, are powerful tools for accountability, transparency, and better experiences.

I still believe in speaking up when something’s off.

But after seeing the backlash from YOBAB’s - Euleen Castro - viral review of Coffeebreak in Iloilo - Coffeebreak Café International Inc., here’s what I’ve realized:
📌 Honesty is essential, but delivery is everything.
📌 Feedback should push for improvement—not humiliation.
📌 And when you’re dealing with local or growing brands, sometimes a private message can go further than a public takedown.

I’ve built and protected brands online long enough to know: social media can be a battlefield or a bridge. The choice is ours. Let’s create digital spaces that are honest—but also human.

And now you want to add tax on us?

We don’t get 13th month pay.
We don’t have health benefits, paid leaves, or government-mandated protections.

People, we have no job security.

Our contracts can end overnight, no warning, no severance.

We’re not even guaranteed to be paid.

Really.

Clients can ghost us in the middle of a project. Some disappear right before the payment. And when that happens, we don’t get support.

Tapos ano? ibibigay bilang ayuda sa piling-pili at iilan lamang.

This government’s inefficiency 🤦🏻‍♀️
and now it wants to leech off the few Filipinos who found a legitimate way to earn through freelancing.

Chase those big time tax evaders. Sila na lang.

Dahil kami walang kasiguraduhan kung bukas o makalawa eh may project at client pa 😓
