Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Easton Morris and I'm the Founder of African Business Connect. By day, I work in recruiting and retention with the U.S Army National Guard. After hours and at times throughout the day, I'm developing and implementing strategies to grow this business. I was born in Liberia but grew up in La Côte d'Ivoire, two neighborhing countries in West Africa. I am bilingual as La Côte d'Ivoire is a French-speaking nation.

In an attempt to give back to my heritage and to my continent, I launched this initiative. It is multi-faceted. I would like to thank the many users who have sent and continue to send me content from destinations around the continent. During this phase, I am highlighting Africa as an idyllic destination, casting it in a positive light, as the media around the world doesn't seem to portray it as such. There are several other things which will be coming along including registering African Businesses to our platform, across the continent, and in the United States, so that anyone who travels in either direction, can easily navigate the terrain. This will apply to anyone else, who has ever wanted to visit Africa, and didn't know where to start. We are creating a roadmap. So buckle in, and come along. This is only the beginning. Share with your friends and pass the message along. There are great things in store for Africa.

L'ile de Gorée is a tiny island off the coast of Dakar, in Senegal. It is known for its role in the 15th- to 19th-century Atlantic slave trade. On the narrow streets, colonial buildings include the House of Slaves which is now a museum. Have you ever been there?
