Cohort 1 is officially here.
Today marked Onboarding Day for the LUGACITY Optimal Solutions Tech Bootcamp, setting the tone for the 12 weeks ahead.
The moderator, Joseph, exchanged pleasantries with the cohort and opened the floor by, Yinka Abeeb ADESINA, who introduced himself and outlined what each track involves and what is expected from participants, with particular emphasis on AI and its growing relevance across every field.
Joseph Okeoma also spoke on the importance of active participation: giving feedback, speaking up when something feels off, asking questions, and staying open to learning.
Our tutors then introduced themselves and their respective tracks:
Shukurah Omowumi JUNAID, a librarian with a strong interest in AI and digital literacy, will be leading sessions on AI literacy, effective prompting, and the practical evaluation of AI-generated content.
David Adewunmi, an AI/ML Engineer, spoke on commitment, encouraging participants to show up consistently, ask questions, and stay engaged with their assignments.
Mumeenat Azeez, who leads the Content and Technical Writing track and serves as Program Manager overseeing communications, announcements, and all program-related information, encouraged participants to be expressive and to approach the program with an eager-to-learn mindset.
Four tracks. One cohort. A shared commitment to building real, practical skills.
