I recently designed these cute packaging labels for Cairs Crochet. 🧶✨ .crochet

One of the things I always consider when designing labels is how they will be printed. In this case, I created unique shapes that can easily be cut from vinyl, making them a cost-effective option compared to traditional die-cut labels produced on large printing machines.

Understanding different printing methods is an important part of the design process because the best solution depends on both the purpose of the label and the client’s budget.

While vinyl labels wouldn’t be the right choice for products like w**e bottles that require premium, long-lasting finishes, they’re perfect for affordable packaging labels that are removed or discarded once the product is opened.

Good design isn’t just about how something looks it’s also about creating a solution that works practically and economically too.💛

Last week I shared some label designs, and for some reason many of my clients didn’t even know that I create labels. The response was incredible, and I received so many enquiries.

It reminded me of something important: people only know what you do if you show them.

It’s a conversation I’ve been having with a lot of friends lately. The less I post, the busier I seem to be. I’m busy building brands, managing social media accounts, creating designs, and growing engagement for my clients. So often, there’s very little time left to focus on my own business.

And that’s okay.

A beautiful feed can look like a Pinterest board, but it doesn’t always reflect what’s happening behind the scenes. Sometimes the businesses posting every day are struggling for work, while others are quietly creating, building, and serving clients without posting much at all.

I’ve realised that I’d rather post once every two months and have work than post every day and have no work.

Just a thought from my perspective lately.

Most of all, I am immensely grateful to God and to Jesus Christ for every opportunity, every client, and every project. None of it is by my own strength. All glory belongs to Him.

Designing these labels was a wonderful opportunity to create packaging that reflects the creativity, passion, and attention to detail that goes into every costume they make.

A fresh take on fruit packaging 🍐🍎

I had the pleasure of designing bulk carton box packaging for The Fruit Route based in Paarl and printed at Mpact. The brief was clear: keep it modern, stay true to their brand colours, and echo what’s inside the box — pears and apples.

After exploring a few design options, this one stood out. The repeating fruit pattern creates a strong visual impact when the boxes are stacked, while the rhythm of green and navy brings balance, consistency, and shelf appeal. Clean, bold, and instantly recognisable exactly what great packaging should do.

Designing the brand identity for “365” a company specialising in Trading, Cold Storage & Distribution across Zimbabwe, with operations extending into South Africa was a bold challenge from the start.

The brief? Showcase everything the business does… within the logo itself. The client specifically insisted on incorporating numerous icons representing their services and offerings directly into the numbers.

By integrating these elements into the 365, the identity visually communicates their full operational scope at a glance — from logistics and storage to fresh produce trading — creating a fresh, modern mark that works as hard as the company behind it.

Sometimes the biggest challenge is saying more with less and in this case, making 365 say it all.🌿❄️✈️🚛
