HT: NSW 12 - QLD 10

NSW had most of the momentum in the first half, but were unlucky to not translate more of those opportunities, into points.
QLD score a try but miss their conversion, in the dying seconds of the first half.

NSW has the more complete line up, as in a blend of pace, playmakers and big crash running forwards. After last week's performance in game 2, NSW have been the favourites in all the Rugby League Community, and in the Sports betting systems.

QLD have the pace and playmakers, but they don't have many standout, consistent hit-up runners for momentum to rattle or draw in the defense, and create some running gaps for the backs. What QLD do have is the will to prove themselves against all odds.

This 2nd half has been a surge of heart and gamble, in favour of the Maroons.
It was even until QLD finally strikes first, with the agility and guile of Kalyn Ponga after the 60th minute. Valentine's converts. Bringing the score to 16 - 12.

Cleary blunders. Hunt catches, and that seals it. It's over.

All Blacks couldn't get off first gear after card give aways in the first half. Throughout the game, the ABs didn't build much phases, attempted to play expansive rugby, and didn't earn the timing of going wide. Panic and desperation stuff.

Ireland kind of knew where to be, so the defense was right there waiting and they capitalised on the opportunities. This is Ireland's first time winning in Eden Park, ever.
