It's hard to believe that all of this and more happened for us in the last 3 months! Thank you to all who have supported me in my efforts to launch EMPR! Without you, we would not have gotten this far in such a short amount of time. To see that a team has been formed from family, friends and past business partners and co-workers is truly a blessing! 2023 is already kicking off quickly and we can't wait for what the rest of the year has in store for us.

It’s hard for a marketer to admit when over stimulation is the cause of our creative blocks when over stimulating others is what we do! However, if you are like the many others with multiple email accounts, text messages, FB messenger, LinkedIn messages, What’s App, etc., etc. etc….it’s no wonder why we feel this way!

Taking a week every so often to declutter our minds is absolutely necessary to get our creativity snd sanity if you will back on track!

Day 1: Listen to and delete all voicemails!
Day 2: Read, organize and delete emails!
Day 3: Continue with emails because I know you didn’t finish on Day 2!
Day 4: FB Messenger
Day 5: LinkedIn Messages
Day 6: All remaining Social Media Messages
Day 7: SLEEP ALL DAY!

Now write that business plan, create a new marketing campaign or whatever it is you’ve been procrastinating on or having a hard time being creative with, and I guarantee you will find your 7 day cleanse well worth it!

Still struggling or refuse to take the time to declutter your mind…well you can always hire EMPR for any creativity crisis you may be experiencing! Here to help!

Have you ever wondered if your small business needs a company LinkedIn Page? Are you an entrepreneur, consultant or self-employed business owner and you yourself are your only employee, so you feel you only need your personal LinkedIn page? Well the answer to both of these questions is you absolutely need a company LinkedIn page even if you fit in one of the three categories just listed.

Everyone should be on LinkedIn, so if you are reading this, kudos to you!

What’s the difference between a personal and a company page?

"The difference between a LinkedIn personal page and a LinkedIn company page is that one is about you and the other is about your business. Even if you are your business, you should still have a LinkedIn page for yourself and a LinkedIn page for your business.

LinkedIn personal page describes you and your professional background—education, licenses, experience, etc.
LinkedIn company page describes your business—what your business does, location, business updates, blog posts, etc." see article link below for more.

I've been asked a lot lately by friends and business partners if they should create a separate business page, if they are the business owner. I found this great article to share with more helpful tips on the content you should include on both your personal and business page.

Business cards...check! Like your email signature line, your business cards should also be included in your brand styles guide and serve not only has a means of sharing your contact information, but should be a marketing tool that communicates your branding elements. All of your design elements should be consistent across multiple mediums including your website, printed materials, email signature line, etc. Do you have a brand styles guide? If not, let's chat!

How long has it been since you have updated your business cards? Do your employees have different card designs, or are they consistent throughout your organization. Should you have a picture or should you not, and is it okay for some employees to have pictures, but not others?

Is it HR that designs your business cards or marketing. If it is one or the other and not a coordinated effort, it should be. Is it more efficient to outsource these tasks to an outside vendor, it might be! If you do not have the time or resources to tackle these projects in a timely manner, let's chat!

Ps...there is something about working for yourself on a Saturday that is actually quite rewarding and FUN!

I have a secret to share...and that is one of my biggest pet peeves...are you ready? Email Signature Lines! Or lack thereof to be more precise. If your business does not have an email signature line, or has one, but not everyone uses it, please don't email me!

In all seriousness, I just had the best time creating my EMPR signature line. Your signature line should represent your brand, and is actually not just for writing emails, it should be a part of your overall marketing strategy and an element in your brand styles guide. You should also have a designated "brand enforcer" on your marketing team that ensures all departments and employees are utilizing your email signature lines properly.

Employees should not be able to change the font color or size, or personalize it on their own. It should be consistent amongst users to communicate a professional and engaging brand image. I encourage you to reward those employees who use it correctly and correct those who are not.

It is also a great way to improve your email security and ensure you are not communicating with a bot or hacker. You would be surprised at how many companies do not make this a priority.

Meet my EMPR signature line! If you or your company would like some help creating a unique and fun email signature line that reflects your brand, I am happy to help!
