Here is a bit of a behind the scenes on colour choice for Sano 🖍🖌

Colour theory is hugely important when choosing colours for logos. Every colour has its own meaning and associations which can completely alter the overall feeling of a design .

I often give clients 2-3 options of colours which will always reflect their business values and they choose the one that resonates with them the most. I had no idea that Turquoise was also Zoe's favourite colour which sealed the deal on this palette😁.

The palette was inspired by sunrises (representing growth, new beginnings, the fresh opportunity to make positive change). I am always searching for layers and meanings when designing so I looked to beautiful Hawke's Bay sunrises for each option (as that is the base for Sano).

I have been working with Zoe at Holistic Health Massage for the last couple of months to create a new logo for her business. It has been an awesome project to work on and there will be even more exciting things to come over the next few months 👌

We are excited to announce that Holistic Health Massage is changing to Sano!

Our new name Sano means healthy, whole, active, vigorous and to take care of oneself (literally "to conserve one's health").

Potential birthday banner for our almost 7 year old. Pretty sure she’s already changed her mind and wants something else (serves me right for doing it a month before her birthday 🤭) but I love these so much… might save them for the little man’s birthday. He’s a big Cakey fan, I’ll have to add Carlita though 🤭

Testing out and doing another carving session before printing in the real colours. Some of the details I’ll hand paint 🩷.
