Otilia and the crew barely escape on a plane from the now-collapsing island of Puerto Rico. While they manage to escape the rat-infested horror, the plane ride to Florida is anything but routine. While they search for a signal to get help, the crew finds that civilization below them has ceased to exist. Not a single spec of light can be seen on the Caribbean islands below.

With that in mind, Tameka, a soldier tactfully lands the plane at Key West International Airport. Everyone believes they have escaped the horror they experienced in Puerto Rico. However, when they land, the crew finds that the airport is totally deserted. There are no people in the airport. There's also no electricity and no movement. As the crew discovers, they are all alone in the airport.

You see, there is still one more act left in the killer rats saga. In this final act, the crew will find out the true meaning and origin of the killer rats.
