My buddies and I have always loved cars, go-karts and anything that goes fast honestly... A few years back we got into building go-karts for fun as a way to get together more regularly. Even though we never planned to make it more than just a guy's night to hangout, I still thought it'd be fun to make a personal project out of it and look at it as a real brand and company. The three letters stand for our names and we just thought it had a good ring to it... I'll post the digitized version of the final concept next. This logo design was for a United Methodist Church. The idea was to modernize the logo to bring a more contemporary feel, while also keeping the traditional look that the church had established for generations. Combining custom type and an illustration of the physical steeple belonging to this church felt to be the best direction for a project like this. The type is modern, yet traditional and this type paired with the steeple illustration, a symbol and beacon seen as the highest point in town to gather those near and far, make for a solid logo to bring the image of this church up to date, while keeping true to the past.

This logo design was a redesign to bring things up to date, but while keeping the look of the company that was already established. The logo was to be clean, bold and memorable. Emphasis on the name and the inclusion of the illustration were the two main factors. We did just that along with recreating the illustration to show a specific trowel. The type and illustration were brought together with the use of brackets symbolizing the strength of masonry work. The logo went on to be used along with added text for vehicle signage and decals.

This logo design was for a fitness brand built around the idea of resilience. Resilience is the ability to face difficult times and adapt to the situation to come out stronger than even before. It's the ability to tackle life's toughest challenges and this idea adapts well to a fitness brand given the many hardships one will face during their fitness journey. When approached with this project, my mind immediately went to a gothic style font to show strength and wings wide open ready to soar above any challenge.

This logo design was for a start-up fitness brand that I co-created with one of my best friends. He's a lifelong brother that shares a love for fitness as I do. Another thing we have in common is our favorite comic book superheroes and anime characters. While I have my favorites in characters such as Batman and he can't get enough of Naruto, we can definitely find common ground that these fictional characters teach valuable life lessons. Fitness and nutrition is all about dedication and consistency. These characters teach us valuable traits such as just that, so why not create a logo and brand around the superhero feel? A herogue is essentially an anti-hero in the sense of what you're doing is for the greater good, but often in unconventional ways. It's doing what is necessary for the most positive outcome. This translates a similar tone for where the two of us started in our fitness journey to where we are now.
