Having sight but not no vision, akin to lady justice willingly turning a blind eye, synonymous to a self-serving leader, see there is a conflict of interest and the result is simple, its counterproductive, counter-intuitive. See having sight but no vision to means a lot of things to me, it means that there is a willingly effort to claim blissful ignorance when the need arises and dare i saw we live in "interesting times" where this seems to be the propellant that allows a lot of "notable figures" to further their agendas.
For instance, we are aware that there is "reform of the land" to where the hidden truths of the nations are coming to surface, with the abolishment of confederate monuments and the reveal of the truths of the political leaders of years long ago but not forgotten, the systemic racism enforced by political structures and institutions, the heinous acts committed by the rich and famous.
Jeffery Epstein and his supported s*x trafficking and pe******ia rings and Ghislaine Maxwell, his female accomplice who assisted in the grooming of female children for Epstein, and countless of others of the rich and famous to commit these heinous acts, and it's because of this same principle of turning a blind eye that these people can elude just and cover up their tracks, that these violations of human rights may go unnoticed, normalized, that victims of these crimes have their voices silenced and wills crushed, never attaining justice, this is the same principle that propitiates oppression of countless others; women, men, children and countless other communities and groups, the exploitation…the normalization of it.
To me, having sight but no vision means to willingly play "blissful ignorance" and to turn a blind eye to all this, it means to visually silence yourself when your voice needs to be heard, it means continuing a cycle that needs to be broken.
