🪻🦋🌱🪁🪣♻️🫐 as a surgically inclined junior doctor, I looooooved getting to make a surgical embroidery and think I’m going to look at doing a few more surgical or pathological anatomy pieces. So if anyone has any ideas (like herniated discs or orthopaedic hardware etc), let me know!

🐬👥🦕🌀🌐🩵 I’ve been itching to remake a set of lungs for ages, so I’ve been loving making these lungs for a friend who is a future critical care doctor. Timed even better because I’ve spent a lot of my first term as a junior doctor on cardiothoracics and seeing lobectomies.

🧡🍊🦁✴️🏵️🧶 kidneys remain my least favourite organ but I actually very much enjoyed stitching this and gained a little bit more love of the anatomy of the kidneys! I’m days away from my first shift as a doctor but I have a few more anatomy pieces in the pipeline!

🌈💋🐅🌝🌿🐊🦕🌈 I know I say this every time I make a new brain but I think this is my fave now!! Getting to see some internal structures (neuro nerds: peep the very subtle sup/inf colliculi 🥹) is so much fun. This BRAINBOW is such a vibrant piece and I love it. 😍😍😍

♥️💋🎈🌺🎟️🎀 now I’ve done a brain from all different angles! Coronal (this piece!) might just be my favourite view because you can see all the beautiful internal structures (hello basal ganglia!!!).

🩰🐌👡🐖🪹 I have a feeling this piece might get me shadowbanned again 😅 but was actually quite fun stitching some male anatomy. This piece is headed off to a friends who already decorates his home with genitalia of all kinds, so I think it’ll fit right in 😍😍😍

🍊🔸🧶🍑💥🦁 I love doing orange backgrounds and I love it even more when it’s for female anatomy. I love making clitorises, mostly because so many have never seen what the real anatomy looks like, and I think it’s such a beautiful organ!!! 😍😍 she’s off to go hang on a wall and inspire some conversation!

💋🌹🎈🍓🥊 whipped this Circle of Willis (or Teletubby?) quickly for the best people at the best placement. Absolutely hooked on neurosurgery and cannot wait to do more (2 more placements in neurosurg next year 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳)

🐻🍂🐖🩰⚜️🔑 been on a bit of a posting hiatus as I navigated exams (I passed!!!) and then only a week of holidays before I started my next placement (in neurosurgery and I am 100% hooked). But in my spare time over the past few weeks I finally finished this lovely lady!!!
