Lego has partnered with  to reimagine an iconic silhouette – the adidas Originals Supersta

I think this is an awesome collaboration between 2 mega brands.

I am a big Addidas kicks fan and I exist in a day to day world that is made up of lego (my husband & 2 boys are fanatics) - so I have no doubt one of us will be building and wearing these Supersta’s!

Woolworths launches ‘Virtual Try On’ service for makeup!


I think this is absolutely awesome concept and smack bang on trend. Online shopping is on the rise - [fact].

Changing rooms are my worst place on earth and spending a royal fortune on makeup having bought it on a wing and a prayer ,as I have only been able to smear a small amount on my hand to test it, is a bugbear of mine. This is potentially a game changer. I tried the virtual lipstick and now want to buy one to see if it delivers as per the images ...which one should I go for?


The service uses augmented reality to apply beauty products to pictures of people’s faces. That way, customers can get an idea of what they’ll look like when applying them.


In addition to Virtual Try On, Woolworths also offers online beauty consultations where customers can meet with brand advisors while at home.


“The unprecedented growth of online shopping over the past 12 months, alongside the health and safety protocols of testing samples in-store, has ushered in a new opportunity for us to transform the beauty shopping experience while continuing to build the differentiated capabilities across our digital platforms,” Woolworths Head of Online and Mobile, Liz Hillock, said in a statement.

I choose the cherry flavour from and those little pops of flavour are an incredible experience! A real party in your mouth!⁣⁣

This is the most awesome local campaign. I think it is so clever & creative!
Earlier this year, South Africa’s popular confectionery brand, NESTLÉ SMARTIES globally announced their switch to 100% recyclable paper packaging. To celebrate this milestone, the brand has collaborated with contemporary recycling artist, Mbongeni Buthelezi to design a digital guide for caregivers to follow in creating fun origami pieces using the brand’s recyclable paper.
The NESTLÉ SMARTIES and Mbongeni Buthelezi collaboration is intended to drive the brand’s narrative which is set to inspire conscious creativity by using recyclable goods.

H.E.L.L.O, I AM BACK!

I had to hit the pause button on Bobby Pin for a bit, but I have pushed play again and looking so forward to continue this little adventure I am on.


I thought I'd share a little bit about me ...

I am married to a hunk of a guy who is quite simply an exquisite designer and design truly is one of our big connection points, we love everything design.


Together we have 2 delicious boys aged 6 & 2, so yup, sleep is limited in our lives & I am firmly the only "pink" person in my home :-)

As a family we enjoy all things water, the telly, books, food, family, friends and holidays. I am a Family First kinda girl!
We live in the ‘leafy suburbs’ of Johannesburg South Africa, also known as 'The Parks'. It offers a gorgeous mix of Couture, interior design and dining - all the things we love right on our doorstep.


My passion and love for Brands was conceived at Vega in 2001 (I was part of the Vega early days) and I ended up sitting on the advisory council for years to come.


My time in the corporate marketing sector spanned more than 15 years, starting at Tiger Brands Limited, followed by Foodcorp (Pty) Ltd, and eventually Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd. I nurtured some of South Africa’s most loved food and personal care brands, the likes of All Gold Tomato Sauce, KOO, Black Cat Peanut Butter, Nola Mayonnaise, Manhattan Sweets, and more.


I am so tuned into brands and the world they exist in and I have the privilege of being exposed to lots of products and brands and I want to pay it forward and share what I find ... hence the likes of my Friday Finds feature.

As entrepreneurs it’s easy to fall into the trap of being the cobbler whose children go around without shoes - and of late I have indeed fallen into this place. I do social media & marketing for many but seldom have the time for my own. I will endeavour to try do better in the new year ahead.

I found THE GRAINERY for this week's FRIDAY FIND!
is an SA brand all about whole, healthy grains and grain products in beautiful eco-friendly packaging. 5% of every item purchased is donated to NOSH Food Rescue!
Whilst they have been around for a little while they have just refreshed their packaging in the most beautiful and artful way.
Twila (founder & owner) collaborated with an amazing South African Artist & Illustrator to craft this beautiful packaging design which really captures the essence of our relationship with nature. This packaging is very considered, very informative and very artistic. I absolutely love it!
I had the cherry, pomegranate & coconut grainola with plain yoghurt and stewed cherries and it was superb.
