Seeing this photo I took of my kitty during COVID lockdown reminds me of how long it took her to adjust to feeling comfortable in a new home. My closet was her favorite place to hide in until she felt more comfortable with exploring her new home.
🙀
I can so relate to her having to get used to something new. That’s exactly how I feel when learning a new platform on social media. The digital world is very challenging to me as someone who is very right-brained!
😵💫
But owning a business requires both left- and right-brain skills and the more we develop our non-dominant side, the better. Working digitally is not how my brain likes to operate, but I do get a sense of pride and accomplishment every time I tackle and master a new internet skill.
🥰
I could see my kitty going through the same process of overcoming her fears. She now rules the roost and is very pleased with herself! As I keep telling her, if something is hard to do, it is an opportunity to grow. Then I need to set a good example, even if it’s still something I really really don’t want to do…
🥺
What things have you learned to do that you thought were not in your wheelhouse?
