A local judge was being inducted. โ I was invited to the inauguration. โ That was a busy, busy day for me, but I thought, I need the break.

During the inauguration, several people stepped forward to speak like judges, local officials, attorneys and then, . . . they called ME to step up and say a few words. โ WHAAAAT?! โ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ
โ
I was given no forewarning. โ And if they had given me the itinerary when I walked in I could have seen my name there. โ So here I am at the back of the room, walking slowly (in order to give myself time to think what I was going to say) and thinking I donโt know this man, never worked with him or seen him at events. โ What do I say? ๐ฒ
โ
Feel my pressure? โ Hear the fears?
โ
The point is that I did get to the podium, I did say a few words and in fact afterwards someone came up to me and told me that my speech was great! โ (A lesson learned about myself) ๐

If I had known ahead of time, I would have been fearing the day, spending so much time drafting and redrafting my speech. โ
โ
๐ Put your fears and anticipations aside. โ Look at whatโs in front of you logically. โ
โ
๐ Stop, donโt let the emotional side come in (fears): โ Do I have time for this? โ I canโt afford this.
โ
๐ You already decided to start a business. โ And you already know that it takes time and money. โ So all that is left to figure out is if this course is the one you need to buy.

Every successful business has a strong foundation. โ ๐๐ YOU are the foundation of your business. โ Your prospects are attracted to YOU. โ But you have to do a self-assessment to build your narrative. โ Through your narrative YOU attract your people. โ
