25 years.
It’s hard to believe that much time has passed, because for so many of us, September 11, 2001 still feels incredibly vivid.
Everyone remembers where they were.
I was on vacation when I received a phone call telling me what was happening. This was before social media, before YouTube, before news traveled instantly to the phone in your hand.
The rest of that week was spent sitting in front of the television, watching it all unfold. Like millions of other Americans, I couldn’t look away.
We watched in disbelief. We watched people help complete strangers. We watched first responders run toward something everyone else was running from. And we watched a country come together in a way I will never forget.
25 years later, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the incredible bravery of those who answered the call.
