In the first 30 minutes, your content goes through what I call the Social Media Quality Gate.
The algorithm is asking:
"Do people actually care about this?"
Not:
❌ How many hours you spent editing
❌ How aesthetic your video looks
❌ How many transitions you used
It looks at:
✔ Likes
✔ Comments
✔ Saves
✔ Shares
✔ Watch time
That's why 5 comments and 20+ likes can be more valuable than 100 passive views.
Every interaction is a signal that tells the platform:
"More people should see this."
The stronger the engagement, the higher the chance your content gets pushed to the next audience pool.
So before blaming the algorithm, ask yourself:
Did my content pass the Social Media Quality Gate?
Because the goal isn't to impress people with your editing.
The goal is to create content people want to watch, save, share, and talk about.
That's what gets distributed.
